“I encourage you to cultivate a habit of lifelong learning. Medicine and healthcare are constantly evolving fields driven by research, innovation and technology.
“Therefore, remain curious in your classes, ask questions, seek knowledge beyond the walls of the classroom, and embrace every opportunity for growth,” he said.
“Remember always that the knowledge and competence you gain here can make the difference between pain and relief, disability and recovery, and sometimes even between life and death.
“As students, you will be expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism and respect for others. At work, these values will be your constant companions. The road ahead may be challenging at times, but those challenges are part of the process of shaping you into competent professionals,” he said.
“Academic excellence must go hand in hand with good character. Respect your teachers, collaborate with your peers, and adhere strictly to the rules and regulations of these institutions.
“Today, you begin a new chapter of your life. Dream big, work hard, remain focused, and never forget the noble purpose of the profession you are preparing to join,” he added.
