ICPC APPOINTS COMMUNICATIONS CONSULTANT

by Adeyinka Adetan

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission has appointed Mrs Temilade Okesanjo as its Resident Consultant for Strategy and Communications, effective immediately.

The anti-corruption agency said in a statement on Friday that the move was designed to enhance operational efficiency, improve institutional coordination, and strengthen public engagement across its activities.

“This appointment marks the first time strategy has been formally incorporated into a resident consultant portfolio at the commission, further enhancing the ICPC’s existing approach to prevention, institutional integrity, and impact-driven governance,” it stated on its website.

Okesanjo brings over 16 years of combined public and private sector experience to the role.

She began her career in the financial sector at Ecobank Nigeria before transitioning to public service, where she worked with the Ministry of Transportation and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

In 2018, she resigned from civil service to establish Woodford Consulting Company, where she has led high-level strategy and implementation advisory engagements.

“In her new role, Okesanjo will support the commission in two distinct areas. On strategy, she will ensure that ICPC’s priorities, interventions, and engagements are deliberate, coherent, and fully aligned with its statutory mandate.

“On communications, she will ensure that these priorities are clearly articulated and responsibly conveyed, building trust with stakeholders and the public,” the statement added.

According to the commission, the appointment is intended to enhance internal coherence, reinforce preventive efforts, and ensure that institutional actions deliver measurable and sustainable impact.

Okesanjo has previously advised the Presidency, federal ministries, departments and agencies, as well as international organisations on policy implementation, institutional reform, and public-sector governance.
