Ekimogun Mirror celebrated her one year anniversary in grand on the 1st day of December 2016 at the famous Adesuper Hotel in Ondo city. The event which was graced by friends and well wishers from far and near was variegated with several mix including comedy, motivational talks and lots more.
The anniversary gala evening was anchored by popular Ondo State event MC, Ay-Love who at interval crack up the amiable guests with jokes.
The event also witnessed a lot of thrilling performance from Dhortune; the Lagos Based Ondo Artist who performed his hit track, Ondo a manuyi . Also present at the event were popular comedians Mc Arkbishop and Mc Blackbody who took turn to spice up the atmosphere with their rib- cracking jokes. Doctivity and Chi Boi were not left out as they gave top notch performance.
Addressing the audience at the invent, the Head, Media and Public Relations; Mr Akinborewa Gbenga in his words said “The blog which is the only indigeneous blog in Ondo State was created by astute young professionals who are Ondo indigenes to project the good images of the Ondos to the outside world hence erasing the stereotypical notion against the Ondos. The blog was created to celebrate the good deeds and lifestyles of the good people of Ondo both at home and in the diaspora”
Furthermore, Mr Osungbemiro Bamikole, Head, Research Planning and Logistics highlighted that the blog has had over 3,000,000 views and mostly from the International Audience. He said the blog has covered major events like UNIMED Matriculation Ceremony, Miss Ekimogun 2015, King Sunny Ade 70th Birthday, Olori KIladejo 60th birthday among others and the blog is widely open to serve people more in the coming year.
Conclusively, Mr Daramola Bolaji; Chief Exexutive Officer, while addressing the gathering thanked everyone present, those who shared and liked EM posts, numerous well wishers and followers all over the world who couldn’t attend the function. He noted that the outgoing year was very key in the development of the brand and placed it on a spring board for better service delivery with engaging new features to be rolled out in the coming weeks.
