The Ondo state governor Dr Olusegun Mimiko has warned political actors as well as citizens of Ondo state that the most appropriate person for the November 26 gubernatorial election may not be the most popular person. Sounding this note of warning at the ORG intellectual discuss, the governor noted that it is imperative to look for people who have what it takes in character and knowledge to administer the state.
Speaking further, the governor stated that what is needed for good leadership is a combination of good heart and good head. He noted that just one of the aforementioned attributes is not enough to sustain good leadership. He however stated that popularity resides in the people and once the people have identified these attributes in a particular candidate, it behooves on them to become the popularity of that candidate and the decision of the people at the forthcoming gubernatorial polls is important in moving Ondo state forward
