Nigerian National League (NNL) will hold their annual general congress on Wednesday April 6 in Abuja, to set the tone for the kick-off of the 2015/2016 season, Ekimogun Mirror reports.
The congress has been slated to hold at the Top Rank Hotel in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
The second tier league had suffered several postponements occasioned by the expiration of the tenure of the previous board headed by High Chief Emeka Inyama and the appointment of a three man ad hoc committee by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, to fashion out a working guideline and governance structure for the NNL.
The ad hoc committee is headed by NFF first vice President, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, with Alloy Chukwuemeka and Isah Dodo as members and Lawrence Katken as secretary.
The Akinwunmi committee will conduct the Congress and also announce a new date for the commencement the NNL season after the draws for the 2015/16 season have been performed, Amar Ignis, spokesman of the NNL said in a statement on Tuesday.
New rules and guidelines to run the league will also be adopted at the congress which will be attended by
Chairmen of all the clubs in the second tier league.
