EASTER: BENUE STATE GOVERNMENT DECLARES THURSDAY, FRIDAY, AND MONDAY WORK FREE DAYS

In lieu of the Easter Celebration, the Benue State Government has declared a Three (3) days period as work-free days for civil servants in the state.

 

Serumun Aber, the Secretary to the State Government made this known in a statement made available on Tuesday. He said “in recognition of the significance of the Easter Triduum to the Christian community in Benue State.

 

“The Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia has declared Thursday, Friday, and Monday as work-free days for all civil servants.”

 

He explained that the decision was made to allow the state civil servants to fully participate in the sacred celebrations and observances of the Easter Triduum, which holds deep spiritual significance for Christians around the world.

 

“During these days, all government offices and ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) will be closed. We encourage all citizens to use this opportunity to reflect, recharge, and spend quality time with their loved ones.

 

“The Governor extends his warmest wishes to all Christians in Benue State and beyond, praying that the Easter celebrations bring joy, peace, and spiritual renewal to all.

 

“May we emerge from this period of reflection and celebration rejuvenated and strengthened in our faith and service to humanity and a determination for a greater Benue”, the statement read in parts.
