The University of Medical Sciences located in Ondo city will launch its friends of University funds on Jul 7, 2016.
Addressing journalist at a special press conference organized by the University management, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Friday Okonofua, FAS said one of the 10 different fundraising strategies of the University is the Friends of UNIMED Fund (FUF), which according to him is a way of inviting donors and philanthropists to contribute to the University both financially and materially.
He further stressed that the objectives of the FUF are to build multitude of friends for the University who are willing to make regular contributions towards the development of the University and to manage fund in a way transparent, effective and accountable for specific projects of he University.
You will recall that the University of Medical Sciences was established in April 22, 2015 as the 14oth university in Nigeria and the 1st university of medical sciences in West Africa.
The launch is scheduled to hold at the Oba Adesanoye Civic Centre, Ondo on Thursday 7th July, 2016.
