‎KIDNAPPER ARRESTED IN NASARAWA

A suspected kidnapper has been arrested by officers of the Nasarawa State Police Command, while an AK-47 rifle was recovered in the operation which took place in Keana Local Government Area of the state.

‎Ramhan Nansel, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Nasarawa Police Command stated this in a statement released to journalists on Sunday in Lafia.

‎He stated in the statement that the operation was carried out by operatives of the State Intelligence Department acting on credible intelligence.

‎“Upon sighting the operatives, the criminals attempted to flee the scene but were immediately pursued by the police.

‎“During the operation, one suspect, identified as Jibril Yunusa, 43, was arrested. A search of the hideout led to the recovery of the following exhibits: one AK-47 rifle, one empty magazine and one locally fabricated rifle.”

‎He further noted that the suspects has been taken into custody, and he is been interrogated in a bid to extract useful information necessary for further police operations and investigation.
