Daramola Adesuyi Foundation inducts trainees for Skill Up programme.

The Daramola Adesuyi Foundation (DAF) as part of its activities to contribute immensely to the development of youths in Ondo Kingdom, has inducted youths for its Skill Up training programme. The foundation has identified the need to train youths in Modern Shirts Dying, Make up and Gele, Basic Microsoft Word and Excel training as this will help in reducing the level of unemployment in the community.

The DAF team embarked on a rigorous screening exercise for the applications received and equally found people who are genuinely interested in taking part in the Skill Up programme. As part of activities to kickstart the project, there was an induction ceremony held in Ondo Kingdom, yesterday, 22nd March, 2023 at the Olowokure Hall, All Saints Anglican Church.

In a statement, made available to the public through Oyedele Abiodun, the beneficiaries will be trained at no cost. The beneficiaries who were inducted could not hide their joy at the opportunity given to learn these skills at no cost. They praised the Foundation’s founder Daramola Adesuyi for the initiative.

Present at the occasion were the Principal of St. Monica’s Secondary School, Chief (Mrs.) Akinseloyin, the President of Ekimogun Youth Connect (EYC), Comrade Famakinwa Lucas, members of the DAF team and other notable dignitaries. Prior to this Skill Up program the Foundation had an intervention in education by distributing study materials to pupils of primary schools, studying for the common entrance exams.

While speaking with EkimogunMirror, DAF’s founder, Daramola Adesuyi, noted that it is important not to leave everything in the hands of government or political office holders, but everyone need to contribute their bit to the development of Ondo kingdom. He further added that, Ondo is our home and we can only make it more sustainable.
