‘Buhari Needs to Apply the Right Measures in Fighting Corruption’- Otunba Ade Adeniyi

The Ondo State House of Assembly Member, representing Ondo West constituency 1, Otunba Ade Adeniyi in an exclusive interview with EkimogunMirror duo of Daramola Bolaji and Yewande Adedokun, revealed his mapped out plan for the constituency he represents among other discussions on the arrest of Judges in the country and his take on the party’s chosen candidate for the governorship election.

Hon. Adeniyi who was formerly into security outfits before going into politics, a former Special Assistant on Youth matters, former Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education and was also a former Caretaker  Local Government Chairman of  Ondo West.  Otunba Ade Adeniyi boasts of an outstanding political CV before contesting for a seat in the Ondo State House of Assembly.

He has since spring into action since sworn into office. A youth at heart himself, he has always been involved in progressive ideology with free holiday lessons to secondary school pupils for free and in the last two years, concentration has been on the core subjects that will help them easily understand other subjects. The initiator of an innovation which he has tagged ‘hope Alive’ which has started working and will be out forcefully in the next few months weaves round  skill acquisition, Health care and security to mention a few, for the benefit of the people of his constituency.

Further into the interview, the Honourable did not deny the fact that one cannot discard the fact that a seating house member cannot but involve his ward/constituency in achieving these goals but will also carry anyone willing along for the sake of efficiency and higher productivity.

Hon. Adeniyi  declared his plan to ekimogunmirror on his quest to pass a bill on two cases of parents being held responsible for their children’s welfare, education and orientation which is a matter of urgency in the state.  It will be a bill that mandates parents to pay proper attention to their kids because to tame corruption, one needs to go back to the cause-root and correct the wrongs before the fight against it can be curbed. Also, it has been noticed that the state assets are not properly maintained. Stating that government buildings, traditional and monumental buildings of the state are not properly maintained.  Hon. Otunba declares his intention to take up the case in the house to improve the government’s attention to properly maintain its assets.

Hon. Adeniyi on the DSS and the judges arrested over the weekend made known his views by stating clearly he frowns against corruption and in support of getting the system off corrupt judges but one needs to be careful so as not to totally jeopardize the peace of the country. He stated that, certain procedures are suppose to be followed or put in place before raiding the residence of the judges, further stating that it is not enough to kill a man who has been accused of stealing where there is no proof, what is expected is to make a case first before arrest.

On the upcoming election, Hon. Adeniyi  implored the indigenes of Ondo state to vote Eyitayo Jegede and Barr. Ola Mafo  because it is clear that the people are very excited about the choice of leadership by the party like the rally that happened yesterday by the Local government employees . In his words “I have seen members of other political parties there at mother and child Hospital who cannot dispute the fact that the health innovation is a rare one and indeed of high quality in the state.” He therefore hammers on the fact that the good work must continue because the person the party has chosen was in the outgoing administration and he knows projects completion level and what to build on and therefore needs to be supported. Adding that Eyitayo Jegede is young and energetic enough to continue the good projects across the state.

Toning down the interview into a lighter mood, Hon. Adeniyi  wowed us with the fact that he desires to have a recorded song album out there before he dies.
