Trump, Migrants and Ignoramus

by Ayomide Ayodele

My pen has been somewhere I don’t know in a long time. This is due to change of environment and an adjustment to my present reality.

President Donald J. Trump the 45th and 47th President of the United States has made Migration a cardinal point of his agenda as President. This, to some public affairs analyst is what gave him the majority of votes by Americans coupled with his strong rejection of muti-gender ideology of the Democrats disguised as FREEDOM.

I noticed with great concern the deliberate ignorance exhibited by majority of people back home on the Social Media space discussing what they don’t even have knowledge about. In the real sense, i have concluded that indeed Nigeria has lousy social media presence not necessarily with quality perspective about sound reason.

The population of Nigerian migrants in the US is nothing compared to Indians of over five million and Latinos of over sixty five million. Yet, we make the loudest noise in every issue. I have read with disgust, how Nigerians make it seem like Trump is targeting Nigerians and how some people out of “bad belle” feel that their inability to migrate to the US as they so wish is the fault of others that traveled.

The estimated population of Nigerians in the United States is less than a million. The estimated population of illegal Migrants targeted for deportation is about thirteen million. This is to tell you that Nigeria is infinitesimal to this number. Perhaps, those who have been joyful on the current policy to cramp down at illegal migrants by the Trump administration should note that the numbers of Nigerians, of illegal status is very minute and many of the people you wish to be deported will not be deported because they are of legal status.

Nigerians at home should desist from expressing opinions on issues they know nothing about and should channel their energy on something more productive. Nobody who has not checked on me or any other person in the US should not start calling to check up on them like they indeed care about the deportation saga. They will be like “shey kini Trump yi o de odo yin”. Pls and pls na people wey dey check up on person before get this legitimacy to check up on people not those with ulterior motive.

Na vex make me write this one. It is not yet time for me to write jare…

Cheers to all my readers, I know you have missed me but I’ll be back soon and better with more interesting content.
