OYEBAMIJI MOURNS AS EKITI ETF CHAIR DIES

Prof. Caleb Igbalajobi, the Chairman of Ekiti State Education Trust Fund is dead. The Professor of Special Education born in Efon-Alaaye died on June 8, 2025.

 

Mr Biodun Oyebanji, the executive governor of Ekiti state expressed sympathy on the demise of Prof. Igbalajobi while also describing him as as “a truly patriotic Nigerian, a man of honour and a firm believer Ekiti Project”.

 

Yinka Oyebode, the special adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity stated in a statement release on Wednesday that Gov. Oyebamiji described the academician as “a distinguished Ekiti leader and a renowned scholar who demonstrated a great commitment to the development of the educational sector in the state and in the country”.

 

“The late Igbalajobi would be missed for his immense contributions to scholarship, wise counsel and nation building, especially his role as chairman of the state’s ETF, where he served until he breathed his last”.

 

The governor admonished the family of the deceased to take solace in the fact that the renowned professor lived an exemplary life of service and left a good legacy.
