KADUNA GOV URGES APPOINTEE TO FOCUS ON THE INTEREST OF THE CITIZENS

Uba Sani, the executive governor of Kaduna State has admonished recently appointed commissioners and Special advisers to uphold the overall interest of the citizens in the conduct of their official duties as they are servants of the people.

 

Sani made this call when he presided over the swearing-in ceremony of the new appointees including Professor Abubakar Sambo, the Commissioner of Education; Gloria Ibrahim (the Commissioner of Youth Development); and the Head of Service, Mrs. Jummai Bako, in Kaduna on Wednesday.

 

The governor harped on the importance of teamwork and effective collaboration among government appointees as against working in silos.

 

“It is by working as a team that we shall succeed. We must avoid working independently with limited communication or collaboration, as success will be hindered,” he said.

 

He also reminded the appointees of the administration’s achievements in the last two years, including massive infrastructural development, revival and revitalisation of the health and educational sectors, and frontally fighting poverty.

He called on them to advance the achievements of the administration and leave an enduring legacy for the state.

 

“Think out of the box, while keeping the box in view. Roll up your sleeves and hit the ground running. You have been called to serve the good people of Kaduna State because you all possess the skills and competences to contribute effectively to the rebuilding and renewing of our dear state,” he said.

 

Other appointees that were sworn in include, Counsellor on Political Matters,Ado  Dogo Audu; Special Adviser on Economic Matters, Ahmad Shehu Haruna and Special Adviser on Political Affairs, Abubakar Shehu Giwa, as well as Special Adviser on Local Government Affairs, Kabiru Yakubu Jarimig.
