The Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly, Olamide Oladiji was conferred with the titles of Chairman, Patron, and Chief Sponsor of the Bursary Awards and Empowerment program at the Gospel Faith Mission International, Sanctuary of Blessings, Ikare Akoko this weekend.
In a statement released by the Speaker, he stated that “The bursary award is a great initiative to assist students in different institutions of learning and to provide opportunities for the growth of the next generation.” Oladiji commended the pastor in charge, Pastor Dr. Adegeye Solomon Adetoye, for the great initiative to assist education and to support the government in alleviating poverty.
He also appreciated the Honorable member representing the Ikare constituency, Hon Japheth Toyin, who came along to celebrate with him at the conferment. On behalf of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Oladiji congratulated the church and the students who benefited from this year’s bursary. He pledged to continue to support and identify with the church.
The bursary award is the first of its kind to be organized by a church in Ikare Akoko, a welcome development that is sure to have a positive impact on the lives of the students who benefit from it.
