NSCDC Nabs Two Fake Officers in Kano

Men of the National Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kano State Command have arrested two suspected criminals for impersonation and illegally parading themselves as staffs of the Corp.

 

Thee arrest of the suspected criminals was contained in a statement released by the spokesperson of the Kano State command, Mr Ibrahim Abdullahi on Monday.

 

He said the suspects, Muhammad Sarari, 43, resident of Goron Dutse, Dala Local government and Madaki Zaharaddeen, 32, of Hotoro quarters, Nassarawa local government were apprehended in Kano.

 

“The suspects were impersonating by parading themselves as civil defence staff. They used to storm some ministries and agencies of government in Kano intimidating top government officials and extort money from them,” Abdullahi said.

 

The spokespersons of the command noted that luck ran out on the suspect when they visited the premises of a popular Television station in the state and threatened a top management staff of the station in a bid to extort cash from them.

 

“They were, thereafter caught by personnel of the Corps, Tarauni Divisional Office and brought to the state headquarters for interrogation.

 

“Upon investigation the duo confessed to the crime and one of the suspects was found in possession with fake identity card of the NSCDC and an inner wear bearing the service logo of the Corps,” he said.
