Leicester City have had their relegation from the Premier League confirmed following a 1-0 defeat to champions-elect Liverpool.
The Foxes make an immediate return to the Championship after a disappointing campaign that saw two different managers attempt to guide the team to survival.
After Chelsea poached promotion-winning coach Enzo Maresca before the season began, Steve Cooper took charge of former Premier League champions Leicester.
His tenure came to an end in November 2024 after just two league wins, with the Welshman replaced by Manchester United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Things failed to improve for Leicester, though, after just two more victories from 22 matches under the Dutchman.
The Foxes have also managed only five league goals in 2025.
The defeat against Liverpool means they can now only reach 33 points for the season – which would not be enough to leapfrog West Ham in 17th.
