Pastor Paul Enenche, the founder and lead pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre has explained how he met and married his wife despite that fact that she didn’t look stylish when they initially met.
In a viral video that surfaced on the internet on Tuesday, Pastor Paul noted that he was led by faith and not by sight.
Pastor Paul noted that Becky, a medical student at the time wasn’t fixated on her physical look. He said her hair was always braided and she wore free flowing dresses.
“If sight was leading me, I wouldn’t marry my wife. I told my children the other day and they were all laughing. And she told them herself. Why? Because at that time, she never cared for anything. She just was anyhow. That is, a medical student didn’t care for anything. The hair was plaited mat permanently. She wore any dress available: shapeless,” he said.
Becky, who was in the church during the message, laughed and confirmed what he said.
He said that despite an array of women who looked better and are equally spiritual, God made it clear to him that Becky was the right person for him.
“There were flashy people around — very flashy. They were also spiritual and flashy. But God led otherwise,” he added.
He then advised the church not to judge people by how they look, warning that some things that seem good at first may not last.
“Not everything that looks good in the moment has a future,” he said.
