Governor Olusegun Mimiko hosted the 2015 Best of Nollywood Awards held at the Ultra-Modern Dome of the International Event Centre, Akure on Sunday, December 13, 2015. The event saw lots of A-List actors / actresses in attendance.
Speaking at the event, Governor Mimiko appreciated the industry for engaging over a million Nigerian directly or indirectly. Our correspondent who witnessed the event said it was indeed a gathering of seasoned Actors, Politicians, Royal Fathers, Technocrats and Business moguls. The BON Awards is an annual event which recognises outstanding achievements in the Nigerian film industry.
Former president Goodluck Jonathan, Godswill Akpabio, Tade Ogidan and Patience Ozokwor were honoured in a special recognition categories, in acknowledgement of their various contributions to the movie industry. Adekunle Gold and comedian Omo Baba spiced up the event.
