Hafsatu Yusuf, a woman in Kano State who recently gave birth to quintuplets at the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital has been reported to have died as a result of persistent bleeding.
Nabilusi Abubakar K/Na’isa, the Kano State Ministry of Health Public Relations Officer made this disclosure to newsmen on Thursday in Kano.
According to him, the resultant persistent bleeding arising from the delivery of the babies -3 boys and 2 girls- led to her death around 2pm on Thursday.
“She had been bleeding since after delivery, and all efforts by doctors to stabilise her proved unsuccessful,”
He therefore called on members of the public to support the babies in whichever way they can.
