We’ll Tackle Unemployment, Create Jobs for Youth – Gov Aiyedatiwa

Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has pledged to address unemployment and boost job creation initiatives for the youth in the state.

His commitment was reiterated during the commencement of a two-week induction program for 165 newly recruited staff called “The Lucky Ones”at the Ondo State Internal Revenue Service (ODIRS) in Akure.

Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized the strategic importance of this recruitment in enhancing the state’s revenue generation efforts. He commended the new employees and urged them to bring fresh ideas and dedication to their roles.

The induction program highlighted the significance of continuous learning and professional development, particularly in the field of taxation.

Mr. Tolu Adegbie, Chairman of ODRIS, and Mr. Bayo Philips, the Head of Service, emphasised the importance of transparency, professionalism, and adherence to rules and regulations in the public service. Plans were outlined to deploy the new staff across ODRIS offices in all 18 local government areas of the state to further enhance revenue growth.
