Sequel to the abduction of Mrs Ibukun Otesile, the daughter of Reverend Dr Lekan Babatunde, the Oyo State Police Command has reported that it has commenced a discreet and in-depth investigation into the matter.
The victim, Otesile who is said to be a mother of two children is also the daughter of the founder and General Overseer of Jesus Is King Ministries, Ibadan was reported to be seized at the entrance of her residence around 8pm.
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Oyo State made the initial disclosure of the abduction of Mrs Otesile on its Facebook page on Thursday about 10:08pm.
The statement read: “The daughter of our beloved Reverend Dr.Lekan Babatunde, was kidnapped this night Thursday, December 4th 2025, around 8pm, Mrs. Ibukun Otesile, the mother of 2, was kidnapped at the front of her gate at General Gas.”
“We call on HQ Nigerian Army , Nigeria Police Force Civil Society, also on well meaningful Nigerians to share this Information to the appropriate quarter.”
Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer disclosed that the police has commenced a thorough and robust investigation into the incident.
“Investigation is in progress. Updates will be provided accordingly, please,” in a brief message confirming ongoing efforts.
