President Bola Tinubu has extended his congratulations to the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, on the occasion of his birthday. He characterized Senator Jibrin as a dedicated public servant whose contributions have significantly influenced national development and legislative governance.
Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the president conveyed the president’s congratulatory messages in a statement issued on Thursday.
According to the statement, the president lauded the leadership qualities the senator representing Kano North Senatorial District and his efforts in advancing legislation aimed at promoting national growth and social development
“Senator Barau Jibrin has distinguished himself wherever he has traversed. Within the accounting profession, he stood out.
“At the National Assembly, he had sponsored many important pieces of legislation. He also has the singular distinction of chairing both the House and Senate Appropriations Committees at different times.
“It was in appreciation of his contributions to the development of the community, especially in the areas of health and education, that the people of Tarauni Federal Constituency of Kano Central Senatorial District first voted him to represent them in 1999, even when he hailed from Kano North Senatorial District.
“I wish Senator Barau Jibrin more years of good health, wisdom and continued service to our country,”
