Sharafadeen Alli, the Senator representing Oyo South under the All Progressives Congress has felicitated Oba Owolabi Olakunlehin, the Olubadan of Ibadanland on his 90th birthday celebration and first coronation anniversary.
The monarch who was born July 5, 1935 clock 90 years on Saturday, July 5, 2025 whole his first coronation anniversary will also take place on July 12, 2025.
Oba Olakulehin ascended the throne following the demise of the late Oba Lekan Balogun who passed on to eternal glory on March 14, 2024.
In a personally signed statement, Senator Alli who doubles as the Ekarun Balogun of Ibadanland, said, “Oba Olakunlehin’s ascension to the throne came at a time Ibadanland needed a wise, experienced, and fatherly figure to steer the traditional institution toward greater progress.”
He commended the traditional ruler for his commitment to the preservation of Ibadan customs and values, as well as his support for development and harmony across the land.
The lawmaker wished Oba Olakulehin a life characterized by the blessing of God, sound health, uncommon wisdom, and many more years on the throne.
