Rainbow Club ’97 donates cash gifts and writing materials to pupils of St. Luke Anglican Primary School.

The members of Rainbow Club ’97 was in Ondo on the 13th of January, 2023 to donate cash gifts and writing materials to pupils of St. Luke Anglican Primary School, Oka. The gesture was part of the activities for the Club’s third Annual General Meeting. The program in line with the Club’s vision of contributing immensely to society through charity, while also contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goal 4.

The Club Members used the event to sensitize the students on the importance of education, using themselves as a source of inspiration to the young learners. As part of the interactive session with pupils, the Club organized a Quiz Competition and doled out cash gifts to the winners. The students were separated into two categories for the Quiz Competition; Junior (Primary 1-3) and Senior (Primary 4-6) categories and the winners were awarded cash gifts.

For the senior categories the winners were, Olaleke Marvellous, Akinpelumi Oluwaseyifunmi, and Ekpo Precious. While in the junior categories, Adedayo Goodness, Akinsoyinu Iyanu and Iseoluwa Success emerged victorious.

The Rainbow ’97 Club President, Rainbow Oladotun Fadoju, while speaking with Ekimogun Miror noted that Club has identified some very brilliant pupils during their visit and will be interested in following up with their academic progress, and have also requested the contact of their parents. He added that the Club is looking to do more for the talents spotted at the school.
