The Abia State Command of the Nigerian Police Force has disclosed the arrest of Emeka Chukwuma, a male from Umuchu, Aguata Local Government, Anambra State and also recovered a Toyota Highlander SUV with registration number BBR667RM.
DSP Maureen Chinaka, the Police Public Relations Officer disclosed via a statement on Thursday on behalf of Danladi Isa, the state commissioner of police that the vehicle was stolen in Akwa Ibom State.
“In furtherance of investigations into a case of a stolen vehicle reported in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, in 2022, but suspected to have been moved to Abia State, leveraging on credible and actionable intelligence, operatives of the Scorpion Squad Abia State Police Command, on 22/08/2025, recovered a Toyota Highlander SUV with Registration Number BBR667RM and apprehended one Emeka Edwin Chukwuma, a native of Umuchu, Aguata LGA, Anambra State, in relation to the incident.
“The complainant has been contacted to aid in ascertaining the originality and ownership of the recovered vehicle.
“Meanwhile, further investigations are ongoing.”
