‎POLICE ARREST ROBBERY SUSPECTS IN ADAMAWA

Two armed robbery suspects in the Yola-North Local Government Area of Adamawa state have been arrested by men of the Nigerian Police Force.

‎SP Suleiman Nguroje, the public relations officer of the Adamawa state police command made this disclosure in an official statement released on Tuesday.

‎“On 3rd June 2026, police operatives arrested one Idris Auwal, 22 years old, a resident of Doubeli Culvert, Yola North Local Government Area.

‎“Through diligent investigation, Idris Auwal was apprehended, while efforts are ongoing to arrest his fleeing accomplices.

‎“In a similar incident on 5th June 2026, operatives of Doubeli Division arrested another suspected Shilla gang member who specialises in attacking and robbing innocent citizens of their valuables.

‎“The suspect reportedly approached one Abubakar Abdullahi along Doubeli Bypass, armed with a cutlass, and robbed him of an Itel mobile phone and the sum of N19,000.

‎Fortunately, police operatives swiftly responded to the scene, arrested the suspect, and ensured the victim received immediate medical attention.

‎“Items recovered from the suspects include a cutlass, a knife, and the stolen handset.

‎The statement however concluded that the two suspects are undergoing standard investigative procedures even as the police is making frantic efforts at apprehended the fleeing criminals.
