OYO APPOINTS NEW CHIEF IMAM

Oba Akeem Owoade, the Alaafin of Oyo has announced the appointment of Bilaal Akinola, as the new chief Imam of Oyo land.

‎Bode Durojaye, the Director of Media and Publicity to the Alaafin made the disclosure via an official statement released in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

‎According to the state, the media helmsman noted that the office became vacant following the demise of Mashood Ajokidero III, who passed to glory in the year 2023.

‎Owoade said, “Having passed through the screening test, I have the pleasure to inform you that you have been selected by me as the new Chief Imam of Oyo.

‎“The moment is not only significant for our people, but also sacred in the eyes of Allah, for leadership in Islam is a truth that demands humility, sincerity and justice.”
