Bola Ahmed Tinunu, the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has expressed felicitation with the Emir of Ilorin, His Eminence, Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari on the occasion of his 30th coronation anniversary.
Tinubu hailed the Emir for his visionary leadership and his commitment to the development of Ilorin through a congratulatory message made available by his Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga on Tuesday.
He said, “President Tinubu salutes the Emir, the Maimartaba Sarkin Ilorin, for his visionary leadership and commitment to the development of the city of Ilorin.”
“In the judiciary, in all the positions he held and particularly as Justice of the Court of Appeal, he demonstrated uncommon courage, dispensing justice without fear or favour,” Tinubu noted.
“During our agitation for democracy in the land when the military was hounding me, I benefited greatly from Dr Sulu-Gambari’s boldness in dispensing justice for which I remain eternally thankful to him.”
The statement further described the Emir as “a man of honour and dignity,” highlighting his ongoing service to the nation as Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano, and his collaboration with successive Kwara State administrations to foster peace, stability, and development in Ilorin.
