Alex Otti, the executive Governor of Abia State has warned desperate politicians scheming to tamper with the electoral process to have a rethink as it is the will of the people that will determine the outcome of the election.
The governor made this disclosure while addressing journalists at the Government House, Umuahia during the October edition of Alex Otti Speaks to Abians.
“I have heard that some people around him say oh, they must take over this state, they must write results but the only advice I have for them is that if they truly want to write results, they should write something else before that time.
“You know what it is? Their will,” Otti said.
His response was sequel to a remark made by Hon. Benjamin Kalu the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, where he reportedly stated that the All Progressives Congress would take over Abia in 2027.
The governor stated that while it is lawful for any body to contest for office, he is against any attempt to rig elections and truncate the will of the people.
He warned that riggers should be prepared to face the consequences of their nefarious act as electoral activities ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Abia State are at top gear.
