‎ONDO PDP MOCKS AGBOOLA OVER DEFECTION TO APC

The Ondo State chapter of the Peoples’ Democratic Party has mocked a former Deputy Governor of the state, Mr Agboola Ajayi for defecting to the ruling All Progressives’ Congress.

‎Mr Wande Alabi, the state Publicity Secretary of the PDP downplayed the defection, emphasizing that the party is still dedicated to rebuilding and presenting a credible alternative to the APC..

‎He said, “The PDP has noted the defection of Mr Agboola Ajayi to the All Progressives Congress. While this decision is entirely his personal choice, the PDP remains a party driven by ideals, internal democracy, and a genuine commitment to the welfare of the people—not by political convenience or transient interests.

‎“Our focus remains on strengthening our grassroots structures and offering a people-oriented alternative to the APC’s failed governance.”

The party warmly assured its members and supporters that it remains united, resilient, and strongly committed to continuing its important role as a robust opposition force in Ondo State.
