Otunba Bisi Oyedele, the chairman, Ogun State House of Assembly Committee on Industry, Trade and Investment has commended the strategic partnership between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Olamilekan Adeola, the Senator representing Ogun West leading to the eradication of the neglect of the region for decades.
The lawmaker representing Ipokia/Idiroko State Constituency who is popularly refer to as Citiside also appreciated President Tinubu for the recent upgrade of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro to a Federal University of Technology.
According to a statement issued in Abeokuta on Saturday, Oyedele described the President’s assent to the bill approving the upgrading as “a landmark move that aligns perfectly with the Renewed Hope Agenda and signifies a strategic step toward inclusive development and educational equity in Nigeria.”
The lawmaker explained that “The approval does not only mark a historic turning point for Ogun West but also reflects the President’s foresight and dedication to ensuring that all regions benefit equitably from federal infrastructure and academic resources”.
Oyedele added “This is a moment of great pride for the people of Ogun West. Mr. President has once again shown that he listens and delivers.
“The upgrade of Federal Polytechnic Ilaro to a full-fledged Federal University of Technology will open new doors of opportunity for our youth and position the region as a hub for innovation and industrial growth”.
The state lawmaker also commended the brilliant and strategic effort of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), the senator Senator representing Ogun West for “a clear demonstration of effective, purposeful, and visionary representation.”
“It is no surprise that this feat was achieved under Senator Adeola’s watch. His legislative commitment, political will, and persistent advocacy made this possible. In just two years, his work has begun correcting decades of neglect, bringing equity, and ensuring Ogun West is no longer left behind,” he added.
