On the 16th anniversary of his passing of former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, Former President Goodluck Jonathan has paid a heartfelt tribute to his late predecessor.
Jonathan highlighted in a statement made available to the public that Yar’adau is “a dear hero, an icon of integrity, a selfless patriot, and a worthy partner in service.”
“As I reflect on the passing of President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, I am reminded of the shared passion we both held for a Nigeria where justice is not a slogan, but a lived reality for every citizen,”
He commended Yar’Adua for his dedication to upholding the rule of law, ensuring free and fair elections, and fostering nation-building. He also highlighted that their collaboration was founded on the principles of creating an inclusive and united Nigeria..
