Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, the Anambra State Governor has forwarded 18 commissioner nominees to the Anambra State House of Assembly.
Received the list on Tuesday during plenary, Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, the Speaker of the House described it as the governor’s first batch of nominees for confirmation.
Former Commissioner for Information, Dr Law Mefor, returns as Commissioner for Information and Value Reformation, while former Commissioner for Health, Dr Afam Obidike, and Prof. Offonze Amuchiazu, SAN, retain their portfolios in Health and Lands respectively.
New individuals included in the list are former Ayamelum Local Government Chairman, Chief Ugoji Amedu, nominated for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism, and Dr Clem Aguiyi of Dunukofia for Environment.
Other nominees are Dr Ben Chuks Odoemena (Agriculture), Mr Chukwukadibia Okoye (Budget and Economic Planning), Dr Ekene Ogugua (Education), and Mr Izuchukwu M. Okafor (Finance).
Others include Barr. Tobechukwu Nweke, SAN (Justice and Attorney-General), Barr. Vin Ezeaka (Local Government and Community Affairs), and Prof. Charles Ofoegbu (Petroleum and Mineral Resources).
Also on the list are Barr. Chijioke Oseloka Ojukwu (Physical Planning and Urban Development), Engr. Casmir Chinenye Agummadu (Power), Arc. Okey Ezeobi (Works and Infrastructure), Hon. Eddy Ibuzo (Transport), Mrs. Esther Chinyere Onyekesi (Women Affairs and Social Development), and Mr. Patrick Agha Mba (Youth Development and Sports).
