Gov Aiyedatiwa Unveils E-Learning Platform for Youth Training

In a bid to improve youth empowerment and foster skill acquisition among young graduates, Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, unveiled an innovative e-Learning platform during the flag-off ceremony of the Public Service Training Institute (PSTI) Youth Empowerment Programme.

The event, which took place at Ilara-Mokin in Ifedore local government area, saw Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasizing the pivotal role of self-employment through skill acquisition for sustainable empowerment. He underscored the importance of embracing training opportunities and prioritizing technological skills in today’s knowledge-driven economy.

The Governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurship and providing essential aid for youths to contribute substantially to the state’s development. Highlighting his administration’s achievements in the past 120 days, Governor Aiyedatiwa announced plans to establish new model technical schools and host the Global Entrepreneurship Festival later in the year.

Commending PSTI’s efforts in training and capacity building, he pledged continued support and urged the institute to maintain its dedication to service delivery.

In his remarks, Olumide Asere, the Director General of PSTI, emphasized the imperative for Nigerian youth to prepare themselves for a competitive future by taking proactive steps now.

The event saw notable attendees, including the Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Adelami, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Prince Segun Omojuwa, Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye, Commissioner for Information, Mr. Wale Akinlosotu and the Alara of Ilara-Mokin, Oba Abiodun Aderemi Adefehinti.
