The Deji and paramount ruler of Akure Kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi (Odundun II) hosted the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi in his palace. The later was in Ondo State for the commissioning ceremony of Best Western Plus Mydas Hotel in Owo.
The Ooni, appreciated the people of Akure for the rousing welcome and reiterated his desired peace, unity and progress of the Yorubas “I am overwhelmed by the love the kabiyesi Deji and good people of Akure have showed to me this night, I have come here for peace, unity and progress of Yorubaland, I have been moving around the country in respect of this because that’s simply what we need to move our nation forward”
The Deji of Akure, while addressing his royal guest eulogized the godly disposition of the Ooni and his quest to foster unity among the Yoruba race.
