BE TOLERANT AND SUPPORTIVE OF GOVERNMENT– SANWO-OLU’S AIDE

Dr. Jebe Abdullahi, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Islamic Matters, had emphasized the need for efforts to maintain religious harmony in Lagos State and Nigeria.

‎

‎He also urged Nigerians to unite and avoid actions that could occasion religious violence and intolerance in the State

‎

‎Dr Jebe also encouraged Lagos residents to support Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Deputy Dr. Obafemi Hamzat to enhance democratic benefits for the overall interest of all.

‎

‎He also stated that the Lagos State Government has numerous programmes and initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of citizens in the new year.

‎

‎“It is a truism that Lagos State remains the most accommodating state in Nigeria today, and this is achievable because it has a template for peace among different faiths. The Ministry of Home Affairs has been charged with this responsibility.

‎

‎“The peaceful coexistence and harmonious relationship among different faiths is a result of the consistent promotion of unity, peace, and justice through the Nigeria Inter-Religious Council—the body saddled with the responsibility of providing religious leaders with a platform to promote understanding among leaders and followers, as well as laying the foundation for sustainable peace and religious harmony,” he said.
