Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akure South local government area have officially thrown their support behind Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for the upcoming gubernatorial election in Ondo State.
The endorsement, declared during a meeting at St. James Caring Heart Mega Primary School, Irowo, Akure, saw unanimous backing from members of the Akure South APC.
Chief Fesobi Akinmolayan, the Chairman of Akure South APC, praised Aiyedatiwa’s leadership, emphasizing his commitment to continuing projects initiated by the late former governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
Prof. Olu Aderounmi, a prominent party leader, expressed confidence in Aiyedatiwa’s ability to lead the state forward, citing the governor’s responsiveness to community concerns dating back to 1984.
Other voices joined the chorus of support, with former lawmaker Hon. Sunday Olajide, community leader Chief Ade Fayehun (Ade Basket), and party chieftain Mrs. Ronke Ojo assuring that Aiyedatiwa’s tenure will bring benefits to all of Akure.
Youth representative Femi Fadairo commended the governor’s dedication to progress and youth empowerment, while Hon. Stephen Abitogun lauded Aiyedatiwa for appointing Akure indigenes to significant positions.
In response, Governor Aiyedatiwa’s Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Tayo Oluwatuyi (Tuykana), expressed gratitude for the endorsement, emphasizing the commitment to continuity in governance and the completion of ongoing projects.
The governor pledged to tirelessly improve the lives of all citizens, fostering a brighter future for Ondo State.
