‎AGBOOLA AJAYI JOINS SENATORIAL RACE

Agboola Ajayi, a former deputy governor of Ondo State has expressed his interest in clinching the the Ondo South Senatorial District nomination on the platform of the All Progressives’ Congress.

‎The former deputy governor who made this disclosure in a chat with pressmen also too a stern stance against imposition of candidates in the forthcoming primary election in the State.

‎“The party has a guideline. It’s a well-organised constitution, consensus, and if it doesn’t work, we will go for a primary election, but one person cannot sit down in one place and impose. It’s not possible now. We have to discuss. Everybody must be involved; we won’t give room for anything that can cause a problem during the election.

‎“I want to agree that nobody would impose in Ondo State, if we agree on consensus, fine, I won’t oppose that, but if we don’t agree, the party will say, gentlemen, go and try your popularity in the primary.

‎“I have consulted widely, including with the governor, and I am using this opportunity to formally declare my intention. I want to return to the National Assembly to complete the unfinished projects I initiated so that our people can feel the real impact.

‎“This time, we must get it right. We need leaders who can truly represent the people, engage effectively, and bring development home. It’s not about salaries or allowances—it’s about service
