Akindiose Racheal, a constituent of Ondo Kingdom, has been awarded the prestigious Swedish Institute Women in STEM Scholarship to pursue a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Surface Science at Malmö University.
The scholarship is valued at over $50,000, covering tuition fees and monthly stipends for the duration of the Master’s program.
This achievement followed her participation in the BOD Study Abroad mentorship call in November 2024.
Racheal is a first-class graduate of the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo.
The scholarship is one of the most competitive global opportunities for students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Racheal’s selection highlights the direct impact of structured mentorship and intentional youth support at the grassroots level.
Her success is a clear outcome of BOD’s consistent investment in people-centered initiatives, mentorship, and opportunities for young talents across the kingdom.
While speaking with the media, BOD stated:
“I am a product of mentorship, and I continue to contribute my quota to the development of Ondo by mentoring brilliant minds to fulfill their potential, sharing opportunities that help them become world-class innovators and advocates for sustainable development.”
