Yusif Malam-Gwani, an 18 year old has been reported to have drowned in a stream at Bachirawa, Kwanar Madugu, in Ungogo Local Government Area of Kano State.
Alhaji Sani Anas, the Director of the Kano State Fire Service made this disclosure through an official statement released in Kano on Thursday by Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi, the Public Relations Officer of the agency.
“We received a distress call from one Sulaiman Abdullahi-Tela on Thursday afternoon that Malam-Gwani had fallen into an open water.
“Upon receiving the report, a rescue team from the agency’s headquarters was immediately deployed to the scene.”
The body of the boy was recovered from the water and thereafter handed over to Jibrin Isah, the ward head of Bachirawa Quarters.
