Dikko Radda, the executive Governor of Katsina state has felicitated the Super Falcons of Nigeria over their historic victory at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations where they clinched the title for a record 10th time after an impressive comeback win against Morocco.
Ibrahim Mohammed, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor made this known via a statement made available to newsmen on Sunday.
The governor described the victory as a price for every Nigerian and a reflection of the strength, determination, and resilience of the Nigerian women in sport.
“This win means more than just a trophy. The Super Falcons showed the kind of courage and commitment that define the true Nigerian spirit.
“Coming from behind to defeat a tough Moroccan side in front of their home crowd shows what’s possible when talent meets hard work and unity,” the governor said.
He further made it known that the victory is an inspiration to aspiring female athletes, and to all Nigerians.
“Congratulations, Super Falcons. Nigeria is proud of you. Katsina is proud of you. Your victory has brought joy and pride to the entire nation. Welcome home, champions”, Radda added.
