We Must Re-Engineer Road Infrastructure In Akure, Says Aiyedatiwa

Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has expressed a commitment to re-engineer road infrastructure in the state, beginning with the capital city, Akure.

During an inspection of two ongoing road projects—Oda road dualization and the Onyearugbulem/Irese road flyover—the governor reiterated his dedication to completing unfinished projects initiated by the late former Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

The governor was accompanied by top government officials, including the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hon. Tayo Oluwatuyi, Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr. Segun Omojuwa and the Head of Service, Pastor Kayode Ogundele, and officials of the Ministry of Infrastructure, led by the Permanent Secretary, Engr. The governor had previously instructed contractors to return to sites across the state. Engr. Allen Idowu, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Infrastructure, indicated significant momentum in the Oda road dualisation project, with a promising outlook for completion within the next two months.

At the flyover site, Governor Aiyedatiwa underscored the administration’s commitment to easing traffic congestion and enhancing road connectivity. Engr. Allen Idowu highlighted the flyover’s 40% completion milestone, detailing the accomplished foundation work and erected piers.

The representative of Gbeleaje Community, Mr. Bunmi Falodun, lauded the government’s proactive approach and pledged the community’s support for the ongoing projects, expressing solidarity with the governor’s future endeavors.
