THE UNNECESSARY BATTLE FOR CREDIT: A CALL FOR PUBLIC CONCERN

The on going dispute between Hon. Biola Makinde and Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire over who deserves credit for the newly approved dualization of the Ore/Ondo/Akure road is unnecessary and unproductive. In a democratic system, success is often the result of collaborative efforts and synergy among stakeholders.

Every sensible person understands that it takes teamwork and cooperation to achieve meaningful development and progress. Therefore, it is imperative that both junior and senior legislators put aside their differences and work together for the common good of the people.

Rather than engaging in a battle for credit, the duo should focus on delivering on their constitutional roles and legislative duties. As representatives of the people, they have a responsibility to attract development and progress to their constituency, this is part of their primary assignment.

It is also important that they prioritize transparency and accountability in their handling of public funds and constituency projects. As public officials, they must be ready to answer questions and provide explanations for their actions and decisions any day any time.

By working together and prioritizing the needs of their constituents, the two legislators can ensure that the dualization of the Ore/Ondo/Akure road is just the beginning of a new era of development and progress for the people of Ondo State.

Furthermore, this collaborative approach will not only enhance the delivery of democratic dividends but also promote a sense of unity and shared purpose among the people. It will also serve as a model for other lawmakers to emulate, promoting a culture of cooperation and collaboration in the legislative arm of government.

In conclusion, the battle for credit between these two men is unnecessary and distracting. We urge them to put aside their differences and work together for the benefit of the people. By doing so, they will not only deliver on their mandate but also leave a lasting legacy of development and progress for the people of Ondo State
