Ten Travellers Abducted by Gunmen in Ondo

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have intercepted a bus and kidnapped 10 passengers who were reported to be travelling on the Benin-Owo express road in Ipele, Owo local government Area of Ondo state.

 

The said travelers where said to be heading towards Akure from one of the South-south state when the assailant attacked their bus at about some minutes to 12a.m on Friday night and kidnapped the passengers.

 

According to eye witness account, the passengers were ordered out of the vehicle at gun point and ordered to head into the forest.

 

He said, “The hoodlums ambushed them and whisked all the occupants of the vehicle into the bush.

“All the occupants of the vehicle were abducted, and no one has heard anything about them since then.”

 

It was however reported that the kidnappers have reached out to the families of the victim and requested for humongous amount of money with threat to kill them if the payments are not made in good time.
