Seven Members of the Federal House of Representatives belonging to the Akwa Ibom state caucus defected to the All Progressives Congress during plenary on Thursday.
The lawmakers initially belong to the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and the Young progressive Party(YPP).
The defectors include Unyime Idem, Martin Esin, Paul Ekpo, Uduak Alphonsos, Eteh Ikpong, Emmanuel Udom and Okon Bassey.
The defection is sequel to the defection of the Akwa Ibom state governor, Umo Eno, from the PDP to the APC few weeks ago.
