Operatives of the Nasarawa State Police Command, assigned to the Anti-Robbery Section, have successfully apprehended two notorious armed robbery suspects, Kabiru Isah and Monday Bulus, who have been on the command’s wanted list due to their alleged involvement in multiple robbery operations across the state.
The suspects were detained on January 10, 2026, at approximately 10:00 pm, subsequent to receiving credible intelligence.
The command’s spokesperson, Ramhan Nansel, revealed this information in a statement provided to journalists in Lafia, the state capital, on Sunday.
He stated that during the operation, a G3 rifle lacking a serial number was confiscated from the suspects. Furthermore, a subsequent operation conducted on Sunday, January 11, resulted in the recovery of a pump-action rifle.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects had entered Lafia and were lurking around Azuba Centre, a suburb of Lafia Local Government Area, with the intention of carrying out a criminal operation, not knowing that they were already under police surveillance before nemesis caught up with them,” Nansel said.
