President Tinubu Pays Condolence Visit To Akeredolu’s Family in Ondo

President Bola Tinubu visited Ondo State to offer condolences to the family of the late former Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

Tinubu also extended his condolences to the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III.

The president’s arrived at Akure Airport, around 11:35 am, and was welcomed by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Later, Tinubu arrived in Owo town at approximately 12:30 pm via a chopper, accompanied by Aiyedatiwa, and was welcomed by the state’s deputy governor, Olayide Adelami, and other prominent politicians.

Following this, the President is scheduled to visit the residence of Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the Afenifere leader in Akure, after departing from Owo.

Akeredolu, aged 67, passed away on December 26, 2023, in Germany after battling a prolonged illness, and was laid to rest on February 23 in Owo.
