GOVERNOR AIYEDATIWA CAUTIONS AGAINST POLITICAL VIOLENCE IN ONDO STATE

Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, issued a press statement condemning recent incidents of alleged attacks and campaign material destruction during President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s visit.

Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized zero tolerance for violence, directing security agencies to apprehend those responsible.

He clarified that neither he nor anyone associated with the government was involved in the reported activities attributed to “political thugs.”

The Governor reiterated his stance on maintaining peace, stressing that any disruptive political campaign would face decisive actions by law enforcement.

Aiyedatiwa urged politicians to conduct issue-based campaigns, discouraging blackmail, spreading falsehood, incitement, and intimidation.

He emphasized the commitment to ensuring the State’s peace and tranquility amid political activities.
