The Lagos State Police Command has dropped its investigation into Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, Paul Adefarasin, following a viral video showing him holding what appeared to be a gun-like object.
In a statement on Wednesday, September 17, the Command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed that Adefarasin voluntarily appeared at the police headquarters in Ikeja to clarify the matter.
According to police findings, the object in question was identified as a stun gun, not a lethal weapon.
“Consequent on our findings, the Lagos State Police Command has determined that there are no sufficient grounds to proceed with the matter. The case is hereby discontinued,” the statement read in part.
The Command reiterated its commitment to upholding the rule of law, ensuring public safety, and maintaining transparency in its investigations.
