‎POLICE INVESTIGATES MAN KILLED IN HOTEL

The sudden and unnatural death of a 60-year-old man at a hotel in Dutse has triggered an investigation by the Jigawa State Police Command.

‎An official statement made available by The command’s spokesperson, Shi’isu Adam on Tuesday, explained that the incident was reported on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at about 12:50pm.

‎“The incident occurred at a hotel in Dutse, where a 60-year-old man who checked in with a 20-year-old woman suddenly developed a medical emergency after requesting a meal.

‎“Upon receiving the distress report, police officers attached to the Yalwawa Division responded swiftly to the scene.

‎“At the hospital, he was examined by medical personnel and unfortunately certified dead.

‎“During the exercise, some food items, beverages, a suspected sexual enhancement substance, and other personal effects were recovered for further examination.

‎“Following medical certification of death and completion of the necessary procedures, the remains of the deceased were released to his family for burial in accordance with their request.

‎“She is providing useful information to assist in establishing the sequence of events leading to the unfortunate occurrence. The investigation remains ongoing.
